WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (AP) — The Pac-10 has reprimanded UCLA center Joshua Smith for his critical comments about the officiating during last weekend’s game against Southern California.

The Bruins lost 63-52 to their rivals in Los Angeles last Sunday.

Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott said Thursday that while he appreciates Smith publicly apologizing for his comments, all student-athletes must adhere to league policy that prohibits them from commenting about officiating. Since Smith broke that rule, Scott says, he required a public reprimand.
