MILWAUKEE (AP) — Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan is replacing Milwaukee’s injured Brandon Jennings in the NBA slam dunk contest.

Jennings had been a surprise pick alongside Blake Griffin of the Clippers, JaVale McGee of Washington and Serge Ibaka of Oklahoma City. The 6-foot-1 Jennings isn’t known as a dunker and has been out since Dec. 20 after left foot surgery.

DeRozan participated in last year’s dunk contest, finishing second overall behind Nate Robinson. DeRozan had the night’s only perfect score on a dunk in the first round.

The dunk competition is Feb. 19 in Los Angeles.
