NEW YORK (AP) — Opus A got the first win of her comeback Thursday, rolling to a 6-length win over Tutti Va Bene in the $43,000 allowance feature for New York-bred fillies and mares at Aqueduct.

A 4-year-old trained by Rick Violette, Opus A was sidelined for more than a year following surgery to repair a broken bone in her foot. After running 12th in her return last month, she rebounded to the form that earned her two wins in three starts at 2. The time was 1:37.43 for the one mile with Junior Alvarado aboard.

Opus A paid $5.30, $4.50 and $3. Tutti Va Bene returned $15 and $5.90. Rogue’s Jewel paid $2.30 to show.
