LOS ANGELES (AP) — Freshman Bryce Jones says he will leave Southern California’s basketball team and transfer to another school.

The guard averaged 7.6 points and 2.6 rebounds while starting 10 games and averaging 20.5 minutes this season.

Jones says his stint at USC didn’t go exactly as he had hoped with his playing time, but he appreciates the experience.

Coach Kevin O’Neill says Jones is a talented player with a promising future.
