WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Rafael Nadal overcame a left foot injury to reach the Wimbledon final by beating Andy Murray 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 Friday.
Nadal looked beatable in the opening set, but he controlled play the rest of way, breaking Murray over and over with hard forehands and deft backhands.
In the final, the top-seeded Nadal will face No. 2 Novak Djokovic. The Australian Open champion defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 7-6 (4), 6-2, 6-7 (9), 6-3 to reach his first Wimbledon final and claim the No. 1 ranking next week.
