MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Authorities say they are questioning a “person of interest” in the death of a 41-year-old Spokane, Wash., man who was found unconscious with severe head trauma outside a concert venue in Missoula.

Police Sgt. Travis Welsh says numerous tips led to a man who lives in western Washington, though no charges have been filed in last month’s death of 41-year-old Angelo Fuentes. Police have not ruled the death a homicide, but Welsh says “we do not believe this was an accident.”

Fuentes was attending a concert at the Missoula Elks Club the night of June 17 and was found lying bloody on the sidewalk outside the club shortly after midnight. He died later at a hospital.

Authorities say Fuentes was involved in a fight and was injured when the back of his head slammed into the sidewalk.
