NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators and New York Rangers traded minor league forwards Saturday.

The Predators traded right wing Andreas Thuresson for forward Brodie Dupont. Both are restricted free agents with little NHL experience.

It was the first personnel move for the Predators, who lost forwards Marcel Goc and Joel Ward on Friday, the first day of free agency.

Thuresson has been with Milwaukee of the AHL for most of the past four seasons. In 25 career games for Nashville, including 22 in the 2009-10 season, he has one goal and two assists. Thuresson was pointless in three games last season with the Predators.

Dupont was third in scoring and assists for Connecticut last season and made his NHL debut, appearing in one game for the Rangers.
