SEATTLE (AP) — A Seattle Fire Department spokesman says a boat overturned Thursday evening on Lake Washington, dumping 17 people into the water. Spokesman Kyle Moore says all 17 adults and children from the “dragon boat” were rescued safely near the west end of the Interstate 90 bridge.

The Seattle Times says two women who live nearby called 911, then got into their own 25-foot boat and rescued 12 people.
