Capitals re-sign C Mathieu Perrault to 1-year deal

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Center Mathieu Perrault has re-signed with the Washington Capitals, agreeing to a one-year contract.

The 23-year-old Perrault had seven goals and seven assists in 35 games with the Capitals last season.

He also had 11 goals and 24 assists in 34 games with the Hershey Bears of the AHL.

Perrault has appeared in a total of 56 NHL games for Washington, with 11 goals and 12 assists. He was a sixth-round draft pick in 2006.
