FEDERAL WAY, Wash. (AP) — The Washington Lottery says a retired Boeing program manager pulled a Lotto ticket worth $6.4 million from a stack of other lottery tickets tucked in his car visor and claimed his prize.

The lottery says Jack Poltz Jr. of Auburn used a Quick Pick to select his numbers for the July 9 drawing. He claimed his winnings Monday at the Federal Way lottery office.

The Seattle Times says Poltz and his wife, Susan, plan to pay off their mortgage, buy a new Ford and likely donate some of their winnings to charity.
