LAS VEGAS (AP) — Boise State has been picked by members of the media to win the Mountain West title in its first year with the conference.

The Broncos, which finished last season ranked No. 10 in the nation while playing in the Western Athletic Conference, received 28 of 31 first-place votes in a poll released by the conference on Tuesday.

Boise State returns six starters on offense and seven on defense from last season’s 12-1 team.

TCU has been picked to finish second in the conference. The team that went undefeated last year garnered three first-place votes.

Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore has been selected the conference’s preseason player of the year on offense. TCU linebacker Tank Carder is preseason player of the year on defense.
