A Vancouver woman who state troopers say was driving too fast slammed into a power pole early Wednesday.

Anna M. Johnson, 29, of Vancouver, suffered facial injuries and complained of abdominal pain after the 3 a.m. accident.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Johnson was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse eastbound on Highway 500 and missed a slight left curve, drove off the road and hit a pole.

The accident occurred a half a mile west of Camas on Highway 500, near milepost 16. According to a Washington State Patrol memo she was not wearing a seat belt.

She was cited for driving at speeds too fast for conditions.
