DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — All Star Heart defeated Miss Mittagong by a half-length to win the $70,000 U.S. Bank Purse for older fillies and mares on Thursday at Del Mar.
Ridden by Brice Blanc, All Star Heart covered one mile on turf in 1:34.16 and paid $4.60, $3.40 and $3 as the 6-5 favorite.
Miss Mittagong returned $6.40 and $4.40, while Berg Bahn returned $4.60 to show.
It was All Star Heart’s third win in a dozen starts and second straight victory since a mishap in early February when she lost her footing and fell turning for home in a mile and one-eighth contest on the grass at Santa Anita.
