PRINEVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A central Oregon man convicted of manslaughter in the shooting death of his roommate in Prineville has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.
KTVZ-TV in Bend reported that Richard Lynn Breneman will get credit for 21 months served while awaiting trial in the November 2009 death of Voy Douglas Powell.
Earlier this month, a Crook County jury convicted the 71-year-old Breneman of manslaughter but acquitted him on a murder charge.
