ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent linebacker Brandon Siler to help shore up the middle of their defense.
The Chiefs announced the deal Monday. Terms were not disclosed.
Siler spent the past four seasons with the AFC West-rival San Diego Chargers, where he played 63 games and made 13 starts during the regular season and playoffs. The 6-foot-2, 239-pound Siler was a seventh-round draft pick in 2007 after helping the Florida Gators win the national title.
Siler is considered a run-stuffing linebacker and is expected to pair with Derrick Johnson on the inside.
