WASHINGTON (AP) — A conservative website that first revealed a lewd photo of bulging underwear sent from Rep. Anthony Weiner’s Twitter account has posted a shirtless photo that the web site says Weiner sent to a second woman.
BigGovernment.com, a website run by conservative activist Andrew Breitbart, said the photo was in a cache of intimate online photographs, chats and email exchanges the woman claimed to have. The website did not identify the woman, and it could not immediately be determined if the photo was authentic.
Weiner’s spokesman did not immediately respond to messages left by The Associated Press, but a press notice from a group known as Friends of Weiner said the congressman would appear at a news conference in New York City later in the day.
Calls from the AP to Weiner’s personal cell phone went unanswered.
Weiner has said his Twitter account was hacked, but he could not say for sure if the underwear photo was of him.
