Mary L. Asher

Mary Louise Asher died June 1, 2011. She was 87.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 13, at 1 p.m., at the Camas Cemetery. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Susan K. Tate

Susan K. Tate, known as “Mama,” died May 15, 2011, with her daughter Katie by her side at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 60.

A private family memorial service will be held in June. Cascadia Cremation and Burial Services is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to the “Susan Tate Memorial Fund,” at any Columbia Credit Union, or mailed to Columbia Credit Union in care of the Susan Tate Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 324, Vancouver, WA 98666. Donations will be given to the Ray Hickey Hospice House.

Nora A. Escobar

Nora Antonia Escobar died peacefully June 5, 2011, at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver. She was 81. Services are pending. Contact Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas for details at 834-3692.

Cathy L. Maxwell

Cathy L. Maxwell died May 9, 2011, in eastern Oregon. She was 62.

A service will be held Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m., at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Furry Friends, P.O. Box 711, Brush Prairie, WA 98606.

Mary Anne Rhodes

Mary Anne Rhodes died May 27, 2011, in Vancouver. She was 59.

A celebration of Mary’s life was held Saturday, at the Camas Assembly of God Church. Private vault interment was at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas. Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas is in charge of arrangements.

Kelsey C. Wong

Kelsey Christine Wong died peacefully May 26, 2011, at Southwest Washington Medical Center from a bacterial infection. She was 18.

No services are planned at this time.

Ray Ford, of Washougal, died June 5, 2011. He was 85.

He was born May 4, 1926, in Crego, Wash. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 10, at 11 a.m., at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. A casual luncheon will follow at 1 p.m., at The Homestead in Washougal. Straub’s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of arrangements. Wally Nugent

Wally Nugent died May 28, 2011, at his home in Camas. He was 82.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Fern Prairie Grange in Camas.

Memorial donations can be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or Hospice Southwest.

James “Jim” Dean Lape died May 28, 2011, at home in Camas. He was 71.
