Letter: Where does all the money go?

The Columbian
Published: June 9, 2011, 5:00pm

As we move into the summer months, Republicans and Democrats will posture, point fingers and continue “not” to begin the process of rebuilding our country. They will claim there is no money for various needs from roads to health care.

Yet, if one listens closely, they will hear about obscene amounts of money being used by a variety of “interests” to influence “local” elections.

Not a dime of this money will create a family-wage job.

Does it bother anyone that there is always money to buy an “office” but never enough to maintain our wonderful way of life at the most basic of levels? Just wondering.
