WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) — Chelan County Fire District 1 Capt. Garet Rasmussen died Sunday at his home in Wenatchee.
Department administrative assistant Kathy Amaral said he was a 15-year veteran of the department.
Amaral said the department would release more information after a Monday morning meeting.
KPQ reports Rasmussen was found about 8 a.m. Sunday unconscious by a family member, who started CPR. Paramedics who arrived were unable to revive him.
KXLY reports he had responded early Sunday to a car crash.
