Letter: Display of flags was welcome sight

The Columbian
Published: June 19, 2011, 5:00pm

As I was driving into downtown Camas the other day, contemplating how two of my favorite stores were promoting and financially supporting causes that I do not agree with, my discouraged view on our society changed in one short drive.

All along the downtown area were tall, proud and majestic American flags blowing in the breeze. How awesome it was.

To see that much red, white and blue adorning the little old streets of Camas warmed my heart and my spirits. Even though I canceled my accounts from two of my favorite stores and vowed only to return when they got out of politics, I just want to publicly thank Camas for making my day.

You made me proud to be a Papermaker.
