Community Fair: Noon to 4 p.m. July 2, at the Gardener Center, state Highway 503 and Northeast 199th Street in Battle Ground. Music, giveaways and raffle to benefit the Rocksolid Teen Center in Brush Prairie.

Pancake Breakfast and City of Abundance Mural Kick off: 9 to 11 a.m. July 2. Street party to celebrate the first City of Abundance mural in Rose Village, east side of IGA Grocery, 2109 St. John’s Blvd.

Wildflower Seedball Workshop: 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 5 at Fruit Valley Community Center, 3201 Unander Ave. Mix clay, compost and native wildflower seeds to make seed balls to toss around the yard to create a landscape that supports native pollinators. http://www.myurbanabundance.org/wildflowerseedballworkshop.

Western Cascades Ethnobotany Workshop: 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 12 in the Cordwood Classroom on West Biddle Lake at Columbia Springs, 12208 S.E. Evergreen Highway. Learn how to identify local plants and about some of the uses that people have discovered for these plants. The workshop will combine an introduction in the classroom with slides and a walk through Columbia Springs’ diverse ecosystems.
