LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — A student has been arrested in connection with the report of a gun in Longview high school cafeteria.

The incident was reported at Mark Morris High School at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, according to The Longview Daily News. No shots were fired.

The student was not identified early Wednesday afternoon.

The high school, an elementary school and Lower Columbia College in Longview were under lockdown after a student reported seeing another student on campus with a gun, and identified that student by name.

Longview Police Capt. Robert Huhta says officers were still searching the area for the handgun early Wednesday afternoon.

Students had a late start on Wednesday, and many hadn’t started classes yet when the incident was reported.
