AURORA, Colo. (AP) — Tight end Daniel Graham says he has no plans to retire and thinks he can play another three or four seasons in the NFL following his release from the Denver Broncos.
The nine-year veteran was cut Wednesday, one day before he was due a $1 million roster bonus. He had one year and $4.2 million left on the five-year, $30 million deal he signed with Denver as a free agent in 2006.
Although he’d been expecting his release, Graham said it’s a tough time to be a veteran free agent with the uncertain NFL labor situation hovering over him.
Graham, whose father, Tom, once played for the Broncos, was a first-round draft pick by New England in 2002 after starring at the University of Colorado.
