SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Barry Zito allowed only one hit in five shutout innings and Aubrey Huff homered and added an RBI single and the San Francisco Giants defeated the Chicago White Sox 4-2 on Wednesday.

Jake Peavy allowed Huff’s homer in 3 2/3 innings. After a walk to Buster Posey, the right-hander’s day was done. The home run was the only hit he allowed.

The Giants scored three runs in the sixth inning on RBIs from Andres Torres, Huff and Posey off Chicago reliever Jeff Gray.

Adam Dunn and Stefan Gartrell homered in the ninth inning for the White Sox.
