FIFA match-fixing probe into six officials

LONDON (AP) — FIFA says it has launched match-fixing disciplinary proceedings against six officials involved in two international friendly games last month.

Football’s governing body said in a statement that the two games were the international friendlies Bolivia vs. Latvia and Estonia vs. Bulgaria played in the Turkish city of Antalya on Feb. 9.

FIFA added that “the proceedings were opened … in relation to a possible match fixing situation in these matches.”
