COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Sprint Cup star Kasey Kahne is giving up his week off to go racing at Darlington.

Kahne will compete in the Too Tough To Tame 200 on Saturday night, part of the Camping World Truck Series. Kahne is trying for his second truck victory at Darlington Raceway in as many starts.

He won at the raceway in 2004 in his truck series debut. Kahne has also won three Sprint Cup poles in his time at Darlington.

Kahne said he wasn’t ready to take a break, despite what the Sprint Cup schedule said. He’ll be racing for Kyle Busch Motorsports and is seeking his third truck victory in four career starts.

The Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series are both off this week and will return at Bristol Motor Speedway on March 19-20.
