Applicants needed for aviation committee

The city of Vancouver is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Aviation Advisory Committee. The nine-member group of volunteers is appointed by the Vancouver City Council to advise the city on matters related to Pearson Field Airport and aviation in general.

There is no city residency requirement for this position. This recruitment is for a full three-year term that begins in April. There is a maximum of three consecutive terms. The committee meets at the Pearson Air Museum Headquarters Building, 1109 E. Fifth St. in Vancouver, at noon on the second Tuesday of each month. The monthly time commitment varies from two to six hours, which includes meeting time and other duties.
