SEATTLE (AP) — The Coast Guard says two kayakers needed rescue Thursday after overturning near Deception Pass in northwest Washington. A Coast Guard boat rescued one man who had gotten stranded on a rock.

A second kayaker was rescued from the water by Deception Pass State Park rangers.

Both were taken to shore and treated by local medics.
