SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Morocco’s Abderrahim Goumri braved rain and chilly weather to win the Seoul International Marathon on Sunday.

Goumri covered the course in 2 hours, 9 minutes, 11 seconds to win $80,000 in prize money. The time was short of his personal best of 2:05:30 set in London in 2008.

South Korean Jeong Jin-hyuk finished second in 2:09:28, while Oleg Kulkov from Russia took the third in 2:10:13.

Robe Guta of Ethiopia won the women’s race in 2:26:51, ahead of China’s Yanan Wei and South Korea’s Jeong Yoon-hee.

Organizers say about 14,750 people took part in the race.
