TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Yankees reliever Pedro Feliciano has thrown his second bullpen session since being sidelined by upper left arm soreness.
The left-hander made 25 pitches Monday, two days after Feliciano had a 15-pitch session.
Feliciano says everything is fine and he could pitch in a game this weekend. He will likely work off a mound or throw batting practice Wednesday.
New York’s other left-hander in the bullpen, Boone Logan, struck out all three batters he faced in Sunday’s 8-1 win over Philadelphia. He has been slowed by back soreness.
Right-hander Joba Chamberlain is on the travel roster for Tuesday’s road game against Baltimore. He has been out because of left-side upper-body muscles soreness.
Also, the Yankees leadoff experiment continues with Brett Gardner listed as the first hitter for the second straight day in Monday night’s game with Tampa Bay. Derek Jeter will hit second and be the designated hitter.
