LOS ANGELES (AP) — A Los Angeles judge has granted temporary visitation rights to woman who became badly brain damaged after giving birth to her triplets the right to visit her children.
An attorney for Abbie Dorn said that the judge issued a tentative written order Friday allowing her client to visit with her 4-year-old triplets until trial date is set in the case. Attorney Lisa Helfend Meyer said she would comment on the decision at a 2 p.m. news conference.
A series of medical errors occurred when Dorn delivered her children in June 2006, causing her to suffer brain damage and she can no longer walk, talk or eat.
Dorn’s parents want the children to visit their mother, but Dorn’s ex-husband argues that she is no longer capable of being a parent.
