HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP) — Colgate has hired DePaul assistant Nicci Hays-Fort as its women’s basketball coach.
The school announced the hiring Tuesday on its website.
Hays-Fort spent the past five seasons at DePaul under head coach Doug Bruno. She was the associate head coach this past season when the Blue Demons finish second in the Big East conference and reached the regional semifinals of the NCAA tournament.
Before joining the staff at DePaul, Hays-Fort served as head coach at Barry University from 2002-06.
Hays-Fort replaces Pamela Bass, who resigned in March after spending four seasons at the school. The Raiders were 7-22 this past year, losing their final eight games.
Hays-Fort will be introduced at a press conference Wednesday morning.
