ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — B.J. Upton hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning, giving the Tampa Bay Rays a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night.

After Ben Zobrist singled to start the ninth off Jon Rauch (1-2), Upton hit an 0-1 pitch into the left field seats for the victory.

Kyle Farnsworth (2-0) got the final out in the top of the ninth for the win.

Toronto’s Jo-Jo Reyes had his personal winless streak reach 24 straight games. The left-hander, who hasn’t won since June 13, 2008, while with Atlanta, allowed one run and four hits in six innings.

The Blue Jays were without slugger Jose Bautista, who didn’t play because of neck spasms. Manager John Farrell, before the game, said Bautista might be out until this weekend.
