ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Police say two Panathinaikos basketball fans have been wounded after being shot during a clash with supporters of fierce rival Olympiakos.

A hospital spokesman in Corinth says one fan has minor wounds and has been discharged while the other supporter has extensive damage to a leg and was transferred to an Athens hospital.

Police say both men, who are in their late 20s, were hit when an Olympiakos supporter armed with an AK-47 assault rifle took aim at seven people after the rival groups of fans had arranged to meet at midnight in a deserted spot outside Corinth to fight.

The clashes had initially begun late Friday after Panathinaikos defeated Montepaschi Siena in Spain to reach the Euroleague final.
