TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — The Pierce County medical examiner’s office identifies the man killed Tuesday in a Mount Rainier crevasse as 33-year-old Tucker Taffe, of Alta, Utah.

The News Tribune reports he worked at the Alta Ski Area.

The national park said Taffe originally was from New York.

The park says he was on skies with a group of three other people when he fell more than 100 feet into the crevasse on the Nisqually glacier at about 13,000-foot level.
