SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane says its water supply is now free of the bacteria that cause Legionnaires’ disease.

KXLY reports water samples have tested clean and the hospital has lifted restrictions.

People in the hospital were drinking water and nurses were giving patients sponge baths, after three patients came down with the disease earlier this year.

Sacred Heart has about 500 patients and 4,000 employees.
