Vancouver police said Thursday that they’ll enforce parking rules at waterfront parks and singled out Wintler Park, 6501 S.E. Beach Drive, as one where folks are parking on sidewalks and even marked Tow Away zones.

“The Vancouver Police Department will be responding to citizen parking complaints and taking enforcement action in these areas as time allows,” spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in a bulletin. “Enforcement will include issuing parking tickets, as well as towing vehicles. This type of enforcement is necessary to allow for emergency vehicles to access these areas in a safe and timely manner and to provide safe right-of-way travel for commuters.”
