BETHANY, Ore. (AP) — Authorities searching for man who approached two 5-year-olds in Bethany and tried to lure them with candy.
The children say the stranger approached in a car and said, “Come over here. I have candy for you.”
The Washington County Sheriff’s office says the children ran into one of their homes, told parents what happened and the parents then called police.
The Oregonian reports the man was wearing a black shirt and baseball cap. He had a mustache and was driving a black car that resembles a Chrysler 3000.
