New Miss Liberty is Prairie High grad

Sunnyside — McKinley Smith, 22, was crowned Miss Liberty on April 3 in Renton. She will compete in the 2011 Miss Washington Scholarship Pageant July 1 and 2.

Smith, who graduated from Prairie High School, was first runner-up to Miss Washington in 2010, when she represented Seattle. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2009. Smith also competed in the state competition as Miss Greater Vancouver in 2006.
