Skye Kramer scored a goal on an assist from Bobbi Eckler in the second half as Union forced overtime. But the Titans were outshot 4-2 in the penalty kick shootout and lost in a 4A bi-district playoff.

“Our girls competed extremely hard, but Kentwood is not the defending state champ for nothing,” Union coach Kelcey Burris said. “We had them on the ropes for a while, but we just couldn’t get it done.”

Eckler and Carlee Maluenda converted goals in the penalty kick shootout as Union’s season ended at 6-10-2.
