ETHEL, Wash. (AP) — A semi truck slammed into a pickup that lost control on an icy road in Lewis County, killing three people.

KOMO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/tIgmui) that it happened in Ethel, 13 miles southeast of Chehalis, Saturday morning. The Washington State Patrol says the pickup spun sideways and slid across the center line into the path of the semi.

The pickup’s driver, a 49-year-old Rochester man, was killed, along with his passenger, a 44-year-old man from Centralia.

Also killed was the passenger in the semi rig, a 46-year-old Rochester man. The semi’s driver was not hurt.

Authorities say the semi’s driver was not at fault and he will not be charged.
