REDMOND, Wash. (AP) — Police are searching near a suburban park for a missing Washington state toddler.

Seattle television stations reported Saturday morning that investigators had arrived at Marymoor Park in Redmond, where the mother of 2-year-old Sky Metalwala lives. She reported him missing six days ago, saying he vanished in the nearby city of Bellevue when she left him alone in a car for an hour after it ran out of gas.

Police say there was plenty of gas in the car and it had no other apparent mechanical problems.

Investigators declined to reveal what led them to the park.

Bellevue Police spokeswoman Carla Iafrate (ee’-ah-frah-tay) tells The Associated Press only that “we’re still continuing with our searches.”

Sky’s parents were going through a bitter divorce and custody fight.
