TROY, Ala. (AP) — Alan Jones led Troy with 23 points, three players recorded double-doubles and six players scored in double figures for the Trojans in a 116-63 rout of Division III LaGrange College on Sunday.
Ray Chambers had 12 points and 11 rebounds, R.J. Scott added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Emil Jones tallied 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Trojans (1-1). Justin Wright added 18 points and Steven Cunningham chipped in 10.
Troy opened the game on a 5-0 spree and never trailed, pulling off a 14-2 run midway through the opening half for a 27-point lead at the break. The Trojans outscored the Panthers 58-32 in the second half to seal it.
The Trojans out-rebounded LaGrange 68-32 and shot 81 percent (17 of 21) at the foul line. The Panthers had just a 44.4 percent (4 of 9) mark.
Denzel Robinson led LaGrange with 15 points.
