TENINO, Wash. (AP) — A 52-year-old man who spent four days in the woods between Tenino and Rainier has been rescued.

Thurston County sheriff’s spokesman Greg Elwin says Terry J. Reed of Yelm was attempting to secure his truck from a precarious position on a steep hill Sunday when he fell and injured his ankle. His cell phone was lost in the fall.

KOMO News reports that (http://bit.ly/uUV2cB) Elwin spent the next couple of days scouring the area for the cell phone, finally finding it on Wednesday. He was able to call rescuers with it.

Reed was treated for a minor ankle injury and exposure, but was otherwise OK.
