Vancouver Heights — Columbia Presbyterian Church, at 805 S. Columbia Ridge Drive, is looking at a major remodel. In documents filed with the city of Vancouver, the church has proposed several projects at its multibuilding facility. The Administrative and Youth Services building will be “gutted and remodeled” and get some exterior improvements. The main building on the lower site will be thoroughly renovated. To improve accessibility, the mid-level south-side chapel will be replaced by a two-story structure with an elevator. The sanctuary and fellowship hall below will be expanded. The lobby and kitchen also will be expanded, along with getting fire sprinklers. The west side of the building will gain an addition, and there will be new and remodeled bathrooms. The project is at “pre-application” stage, so there’s no approval from the city nor a timeline yet.
