SEATTLE (AP) — A judge says a high-rise waterfront condominium project can’t proceed under Snohomish County’s existing zoning rules.

Neighbors have complained about the size and potential traffic impacts of the 3,081-unit project at Point Wells. The decision by King County Superior Court Judge Dean S. Lum will be appealed by developer Blue Square Real Estate.

The company must submit a new application after the county rewrites the zoning ordinance for the property. The deadline for that change is April 25.
