Letter: News is that Cain won Florida poll

The Columbian
Published: October 1, 2011, 5:00pm

Journalism in America is a lopsided propaganda tool such as one would expect to see in a depressed nation.

Presidential candidate Herman Cain handily won the Republican straw poll in Florida with 37 percent, but only received a minimal coverage. The Columbian printed a half-page story “Perry, Romney press for campaign cash ahead of deadline” about wealthy Rick Perry and Mitch Romney, including pictures. Cain got just a few words, no picture.

Media such as The Columbian dictate and promote “more of the same” failed politics and pick our candidates. I call for fair journalism that informs voters of all candidates. Journalism, and The Columbian, have failed America.
