IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa backup quarterback A.J. Derby has been suspended for two games after an incident outside an Iowa City bar.

A criminal complaint filed against the 20-year-old Derby in Johnson County District Court says authorities were called to a bar late Saturday after a man punched out the window of a bus as he was exiting.

The filing says Derby admitted to damaging the window and took a breath test, which measured his blood-alcohol level at 0.12. Derby is charged with criminal mischief and public intoxication.

Derby, a redshirt freshman from Iowa City, is 3-of-6 passing this season in relief of starter James Vandenberg. Derby will miss Iowa’s games at Penn State on Saturday and against Northwestern on Oct. 15.
