EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Leslie Frazier and Donovan McNabb sat down this week to discuss the Minnesota Vikings’ 0-4 start.

The two have known each other since McNabb first came into the league in 1999. Both are leaning on that relationship as criticism starts to mount in Minnesota.

Frazier was a defensive assistant with the Eagles when McNabb was drafted. The relationship was part of the reason Frazier pushed hard for the trade with Washington that landed McNabb in July as the Vikings looked at life without Brett Favre.

It was also a big reason why the veteran quarterback agreed to a pay cut to come to Minnesota to revive his career.

McNabb says he and his coach “ironed out some wrinkles” in Monday’s meeting and are focused on getting a win against Arizona on Sunday.
