TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Arizona Border Patrol agents say they’ve apprehended five people with extensive criminal histories over the weekend.
The five men all were apprehended separately in various areas of the desert, from Casa Grande to Ajo.
They include a 34-year-old man from Jalisco, Mexico who was convicted in Oregon in 1996 for sexual abuse and multiple drunken-driving offenses. He also was convicted in 1997 in Virginia for attempted sexual battery and burglary.
Another man, a 49-year-old, was convicted of second-degree murder in California in 1997 and served six years in prison.
